Trump issues last warning to Hamas on hostages

US President Donald Trump has turned up the heat on Hamas, warning the militant group to accept his proposed deal for the release of hostages in Gaza or face dire consequences.

“The Israelis have accepted my terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning,” Trump declared on social media Sunday.

The President’s statement comes as negotiations drag on over the fate of captives held by Hamas, with pressure mounting on both sides to reach a breakthrough.
