Young singer Fola recounts first day in Lagos

Afrobeats sensation Folarin Odunlam, also known as Fola, has spoken about his experience when he came to Lagos for the first time.

Fola who revealed that he was arrested, also disclosed that he spent the fist night in Lagos in the police station.

While speaking with The Beat 99.9 FM Lagos, the young singer expressed how that experience made him feel.

“I relocated to Lagos in 2018 to pursue my music career. It has been rough but… I wasn’t born here, so it was so hard at first but I have adapted to both the living conditions and the hustle. The very first day I came to Lagos, I assumed arrested. I slept at the police station. It was a long story. I don’t want to remember it. I almost gave up,” he recalled.

Fola however, stated that the terrible experience did not stop him from pursuing his goals and music career.
