APC in Lagos has come hard on former Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, describing him as a “political scavenger”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has come hard on former Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, describing him as a “political scavenger” with no ideology or direction.

Rhodes-Vivour dumped LP for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday, a move the APC says is nothing new.

Reacting, APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, mocked the politician’s history of party-hopping — from Kowa Party to PDP, to Labour, and now ADC.

“Rhodes-Vivour has jumped more parties than a restless frog. Each move leaves behind chaos, betrayal and laughter from Lagosians who see through his charade,” Oladejo said.

He added that Lagos residents would never gamble their mandate on someone “forever in search of the next platform to abuse and abandon.”

The APC further dismissed the defection as meaningless, warning the LP not to waste time crying over Rhodes-Vivour’s exit.

“Lagos is not a laboratory for serial defectors. Governance is serious business, not a reality TV show where Gbadebo can change costumes every season,” Oladejo declared.

According to him, Lagosians will continue to keep faith with the APC, not “political tourists chasing ambition at all costs.”
