Nigerian reality TV star and media personality Leo Da Silva, has spoken against people who set standards for how an individual should mourn.
While citing a case of a creator who lost his wife, he urged people not to dictate how a grieving person should mourn.
Da Silva also explained that people deal with their grief in different ways, and a person being active on social media after a huge loss doesn’t meant they did not love or care for the deceased.
“This guy makes content with his wife and his wife just died leaving him with 3 kids. Nigerians are telling him to go offline to mourn. He’s telling them he needs to be online so he can feed his family. Who tf are you to tell anyone what to do after they lose their loved one?”, he wrote.
