Arne Slot, Jack Grealish win Premier League awards

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been named the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for August, while Everton’s Jack Grealish clinched the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

Slot guided the champions to a perfect start in the new season, winning all three matches in August. The Reds defeated Bournemouth 4-2 at Anfield, edged Newcastle United 3-2 away, and beat title rivals Arsenal 1-0 at home. Liverpool scored eight goals in those fixtures, the joint-highest tally for the month.

The Dutchman, who first won the award in November 2024, has now claimed it for the second time in his Premier League career.

On his part, Grealish enjoyed a blistering start to life at Everton after joining on loan from Manchester City. The England international provided four assists in August, more than any other Premier League player.

He set up both goals in Everton’s 2-0 win over Brighton before delivering two more assists in a 3-2 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers, becoming the first Everton player to record multiple assists in back-to-back league matches.

The recognition is Grealish’s first-ever Premier League Player of the Month award.

Both awards were decided by a combination of public votes and input from a panel of football experts.
