Road rehabilitation works are also underway across different parts of the council, while renovation of administrative blocks within the council secretariat has commenced to provide a more befitting working environment.
The Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Olusegun Odumbaku, has intensified efforts to upgrade key infrastructure across the council, focusing on health facilities, road rehabilitation and flood prevention projects.
As part of the initiative, four Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Apata, Akiode, Powerline and Gbadamosi communities, previously in dilapidated condition and lacking essential medical equipment, have been reconstructed.
The newly upgraded facilities are now fully equipped with modern, state-of-the-art medical tools to provide quality healthcare services to residents.
To tackle perennial flooding in Akiode, Odumbaku also flagged off the construction of a reinforced concrete drainage system on Bakare Street.
The project, which is at the stage of reinforced invert casting, is expected to significantly improve water flow and mitigate flooding risks in the area once completed.
Road rehabilitation works are also underway across different parts of the council, while renovation of administrative blocks within the council secretariat has commenced to provide a more befitting working environment.
Beyond infrastructure, Odumbaku has continued to prioritise education and youth empowerment. Earlier this year, his administration distributed 250 free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to qualified candidates, reinforcing his commitment to building opportunities for young people under his HEYSRELOADED agenda.
