Elon Musk’s daughter Vivian debuts at NY Fashion Week

Elon Musk’s transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson, made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week, stepping into the spotlight despite her ongoing estrangement from the world’s richest man.

Wilson stunned in a bright red dress with a purple sash reading “Miss South Carolina” at the Alexis Bittar showcase held at Manhattan’s Abrons Theater. The designer described the SS26 presentation as a surreal narrative addressing misogyny, trans rights, and objectification.

“Thank you for trusting me, Vivian, and for honoring me with your first show as Miss South Carolina,” Bittar wrote on Instagram. Wilson celebrated the show’s success with her own post: “First FW show done, very slay.”

Since cutting ties with her father, Wilson has been living modestly in Los Angeles with roommates. She recently revealed she does not have “hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal,” despite Musk’s $413 billion fortune, and is even considering community college this fall.

Wilson, 21, does not aim to be “superrich” by her father’s standards but appreciates having enough for rent, food, and some expendable income—“much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles,” she said.

The model’s rift with Musk dates back to 2022, shortly after she transitioned and legally changed her gender and surname. She has publicly criticized her father, calling him a “pathetic man-child,” especially after his comments linking her to what he called the “woke mind virus.”

Wilson has also opened up about her struggles growing up with ADHD, attending a private high school “filled with nepo babies,” and feeling isolated among peers including Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter, Apple.

Born a twin to Musk and his first wife, Justine, Vivian reportedly first came out as transgender at 16 but asked her aunt to keep it from her father. Musk has publicly acknowledged their strained relationship, admitting his attempts to reconcile have been unsuccessful.

Despite the family feud, Wilson is forging her own path—making her mark on the fashion scene while asserting independence from her billionaire dad.
