Arsenal bounced back from their earlier defeat to Liverpool with a convincing 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, securing their third win in four matches this season.
Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi was the star of the night, scoring his first two goals for the club.
Former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou, in charge of Forest for the first time, extended his poor record against Mikel Arteta to five games without a win.
The breakthrough came in the first half when Noni Madueke’s corner was headed clear, only for Zubimendi to smash home a volley that deflected off Murillo past goalkeeper Matz Sels.
Forest had a chance to respond before half-time through Morgan Gibbs-White, but he fired wide from inside the area.
Just after the restart, Emirate debutant, Eberechi Eze set up Viktor Gyokeres for a close-range finish, before Zubimendi added his second with a header from Leandro Trossard’s cross.
Captain Martin Odegaard was forced off with a shoulder injury in the first half, but Arsenal still controlled the match comfortably to claim three more points.
