Davido clears air after being slapped in viral video

Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has shut down trending claims that he was slapped during an outing in Warri, Delta State.

A short clip had circulated online showing the singer in the middle of a crowd when a hand appeared to land on his head. The video immediately set social media buzzing, with one user posting: “Warri people no get joy oo. See dem sl@p Davido for head.”

But reacting on Monday via his official X handle, Davido clarified that it wasn’t an attack, it was just an accident caused by one of his own security aides.

“Mumu that was my security .. hit me by mistake .. saddist,” the singer wrote.

The clarification has put to rest hours of speculation as fans debated whether the superstar had really been assaulted.
