The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed October 8, 2025, as the deadline for States’ Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies, Commissions, and licensed tour operators to remit fares ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
NAHCON had earlier pegged the provisional fare at ₦8.5 million, pending final negotiations on service contracts with Saudi providers.
In a statement on Sunday, the Commission’s spokesperson, Fatima Usara, said the deadline was in line with the operational calendar released by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, which imposed strict timelines for contracts and payments.
She explained that Saudi authorities gave September 6–23 for early contracting and payment for Mashair (camps), while September 23–24 was reserved for transport and accommodation services.
To meet the deadlines, NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, alongside Commissioners and Secretary Dr. Mustapha Ali, will leave for Saudi Arabia on Monday to seal service agreements.
Meanwhile, Saudi authorities have set October 12, 2025, as the deadline for pilgrim registration and submission of data via the Nusuk platform.
“Consequently, the Commission fixed October 8, 2025, as the deadline for States’ Boards, Agencies, and licensed operators to remit fares for the 2026 Hajj,” the statement read.
