In a significant turn of event, Oke-Aro Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State has breathed a sigh of relief as the stolen transformer cable that plunged three CDAs into total darkness has been replaced on Saturday September 20, restoring power to the affected areas.
Earlier, PMNEWS NIGERIA reported that a devastating black out plunged some parts of Oke-Aro community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State after unidentified individuals carted away vital transformer cables transmitting light to some parts of the community.
The cable theft, which occurred on Thursday 4th, September had left residents and businesses without electricity for days, causing widespread disruption in some parts of the community.

According to the information obtained earlier by PMNEWS NIGERIA, the CSO and technical team from Jankara conducted an inspection and provided conditions for restoring power, including installing solar systems, CCTV cameras, physical security, and a wire mesh fence. These conditions were implemented as instructed, and the CSO and top officials from Ikeja Electric inspected the site.
The light restoration was confirmed to PMNEWS NIGERIA on Saturday afternoon by one of the residents in the area, saying the replacement process was completed, and power restored to the community.
Residents of Oke-Aro community have expressed joy and relief at the restoration of power. They had been without electricity for some days, and the return of power has brought much-needed relief.
