Ballon d’Or: PSG named best team of the year

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)  have been crowned Best Team of 2025 at the Ballon d’Or awards in Paris on Monday night.

The French champions swept the honours after a season of dominance, winning four major trophies, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, and the UEFA Champions League.

PSG also reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, sealing their reputation as not just kings of France but serious global contenders.

The Ballon d’Or Best Team award is the latest proof that the Paris giants have finally broken free from the tag of “domestic bullies” to establish themselves on the world stage.
