Nigerian socialite and businessman, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed frustration over his experience at Nigerian hospitals while battling health issues.
The celebrity barman revealed in an Instagram story on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, that he had not been feeling well and decided to go for medical tests, but was disappointed by the poor services he encountered.
Cubana Chief Priest said that despite visiting a hospital he had used for years in Ikoyi, he was left unattended for over an hour after his vitals were checked because no doctor was available.
“Honestly, health care is a joke in this country. Walked into a hospital I have been using in Ikoyi for years, sick. After vitals, it’s over an hour plus & no doctor is available,” he lamented.
He disclosed that he left without completing the scheduled tests and went to another hospital in Lekki, where he was asked to fill out lengthy online forms before seeing a doctor. Frustrated, he opted to only purchase malaria and typhoid medication.
The entrepreneur noted that he plans to undergo proper medical checks when he travels to the UK, stressing that Nigeria’s poor health care system leaves citizens at risk.
“Well, I don go med plus go buy medication for typhoid and malaria. If I reach UK make I do proper health care there, it’s a shame sha. Na God dey save person for this country,” he added.
