Jennifer Odonwodo, widow of late Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, has opened up about her ongoing grief, admitting that she and her family are still struggling to come to terms with his death.
Taking to Instagram, Jennifer shared a video of Junior Pope alongside his late father, recalling how overwhelming the pain still feels.
She confessed that while some days appear manageable, the reality of their loss often strikes suddenly, leaving them in denial.
“Some days feel like we are fine. Next minute on the same day feels totally off and still very much in denial. Dear Lord, heal our hearts and keep us safe. Sochima!!” she wrote.
Jennifer’s message comes months after her father-in-law also passed away, a man she once described as someone who genuinely loved and cared for her.
The tragic loss of Junior Pope remains fresh in the hearts of fans and family alike. The actor, alongside others, drowned in the Anam River, Anambra State, on April 8, 2024, while returning from a movie set produced by Adanma Luke.
Since then, Jennifer has kept his memory alive through public tributes, including his one-year remembrance in April 2025, his posthumous 45th birthday in May, and their 11th wedding anniversary in July.
