Some parts of Oke-Aro Council Development Area, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State are experiencing another power outage due to a spark on the transformer pole caused by a cut wire late Monday night.
This recent incident has left residents in the dark once again, just three days after Ikeja Electric replaced a stolen transformer cable that had plunged the area into darkness for several days.

The affected transformer serves the JP community, which had previously been plunged into darkness for days due to cable theft that occurred September 4, 2025. Fortunately, the stolen cable was replaced on Friday afternoon September 20. But the incident has raised concerns about the reliability of the power supply.
The Ikeja Electric team has been notified about the incident and is expected to take immediate action to restore power to the community.
Residents are anxiously waiting for the team to resolve the issue, hoping that the response time will be quicker than previous incidents.
