Oluremi Tinubu’s birthday fund hits ₦20bn

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has announced that the “Oluremi @65 Education Fund” has raised a total of ₦20,456,188,924.93 towards the completion of the National Library Headquarters in Abuja.

This initiative was launched on her 65th birthday, September 21, 2025, as a call to well-wishers to forgo traditional gifts and instead contribute to this national cause. The fund is coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Education and managed through Zenith Bank.

The National Library project, which has faced delays over the years, is now closer to completion, thanks to the generous contributions from Nigerians.

This development underscores a collective effort to enhance the nation’s educational infrastructure.
