FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, was all smiles on Tuesday as he proudly joined his son, Jordan, at the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja.

Wike, flanked by his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Wike, took part in the Body of Benchers’ procession as the family celebrated Jordan’s admission into the Nigerian Bar.

The minister’s aide, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the development in a post on X, sharing photos and videos of the family moment. “Happy Dad and Mum,” he captioned.

Ahead of Tuesday’s ceremony, the Body of Benchers had on September 18 released the schedule for the issuance of invitation cards for aspirants slated to be called to the Bar between September 23 and 25, 2025.

According to a notice signed by Fatima Idris Ali on behalf of the Secretary of the Body of Benchers, the collection of invitation cards took place at the Body of Benchers Complex, No. 12, Y.C. Maikyau Crescent, Institute and Research District, behind the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja.

The notice made it clear that the exercise, which began on Thursday, September 18, was strictly for aspirants scheduled for the September 23 Call to Bar. Each aspirant, it added, was required to present a valid Nigerian Law School identity card during the process.

This year’s Call to Bar saw thousands of candidates, who had completed their training at the Nigerian Law School campuses across the country, formally admitted as barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
