The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Abuja has celebrated the country’s 95th National Day.

Speaking at the event, the Charge D’Affaires, Mr. Saad Fahad Almarri, said the celebration was not only to mark the Kingdom’s founding but also to strengthen ties with Nigeria in different areas.

He explained that Saudi Arabia has made remarkable progress since King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud unified the Kingdom 95 years ago. He added that the country is committed to its Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a strong economy, a vibrant society, and an ambitious nation.

Mr. Almarri also noted that relations between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria have grown in trade, education, and the fight against drug trafficking. Trade between the two countries now exceeds $600 million, and many Nigerian students have received scholarships from Saudi Arabia.

He thanked the Nigerian government and people for their friendship and cooperation, stressing that both countries are committed to expanding their partnership further.

Mr. Almarri also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s successful bid to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh with the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow.” He said this reflects the Kingdom’s global standing and ability to host major international events.
