Barcelona erased a first-half deficit to claim a 3-1 win over Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium on Thursday, extending their unbeaten streak in La Liga.

The hosts stunned Barcelona in the 33rd minute when goalkeeper Joan García miskicked a clearance outside his area, allowing Oviedo’s Alberto Reina to lob the ball into the empty net from distance.

Barcelona responded after the break. In the 56th minute Eric García equalised, tapping in inside the box after a scramble from a corner.

Twenty minutes later, Robert Lewandowski restored Barça’s lead with a commanding header off a Frenkie de Jong cross.

In the 88th minute, Ronald Araujo sealed the result by nodding home a corner, putting the game beyond doubt.

The victory places Barcelona in second in the La Liga standings with 16 points from six matches, just two behind leaders Real Madrid. Oviedo, meanwhile, remain entrenched in the relegation zone with just three points.

Barcelona’s second-half dominance was evident: they controlled possession, pressed higher, and generated more quality chances as Oviedo fatigued.

Despite Reina’s spectacular opener, the hosts could not maintain the intensity needed to stifle Barça’s recovery.

Key absences left Barcelona without rising star Lamine Yamal, who continued to recuperate from injury, while midfielder Gavi remains sidelined after recent surgery.
