‘Why ego is important for artists’, Asake

Nigerian singer Asake, has claimed that humility is not a trait artists should have if they want to be taken seriously.

While sharing his thoughts on humility and ego, Asake state that humility is often interpreted as weakness.

He spoke about the role ego plays in the music industry and how artists can use it to their advantage.

“As an artist, if you’re humble, they take you for granted. But if you have ego they feel like you’re not accessible then they like you more. People would rather see what you’re doing than showing them. They don’t really appreciate it. Do what you need to do and just go,” he stated.
