The leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC in Jigawa has assured that that they are firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the state governor, Umar Namadi, endorsing both leaders for a second term come 2027.
The APC leaders spoke when they paid solidarity visit to Governor Umar Namadi, on Friday evening, at his residence in Government House, Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
The delegation, led by the State Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Dahiru Jahun, included members of the State Executive Committee and chairmen of the party across all 27 local government areas.
Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Jahun said they were at the Government House to reaffirm their loyalty to Governor Namadi, describing him as the recognized leader of the APC in Jigawa State.
The party leaders also commended the Governor Namadi administration for what they termed as “wonderful transformation and unprecedented achievements within just two years,” describing them as historic in Jigawa’s development journey.
Jahun also cautioned that the party would not hesitate to sanction any member whose actions undermine unity or show disrespect to the state leadership.
“Our loyalty to the governor is like that of the comical character ‘Maha’ to his teacher; without objection, whatever Malam says we will do, and wherever he directs us, we will follow,” he said.
In his response, Governor Namadi thanked the APC leadership for their solidarity and assured them of his administration’s continued cooperation with the party, further reiterating his commitment to fairness in dealing with party members across the state.
The governor also stated that both the federal and state governments under the APC are focused on people-oriented policies and the implementation of developmental projects, pointing out that his administration’s 12-point agenda aligns closely with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as both share a vision grounded in sustainable development and the welfare of the people.
