2Baba had thrown a lavish birthday party in his honour of his mother who clocked 70, drawing family members and close friends. At the centre of the celebration was his new wife, Natasha Osawaru Idibia, an Edo State lawmaker, who stole the spotlight with a heartfelt toast.
Natasha, visibly moved, described her mother-in-law as “the best mother-in-law in the world”, sparking applause from the audience. “Let’s toast to the best mother-in-law in the world,” she declared in a now-viral clip that has set social media abuzz.
The singer’s brother, Charles Idibia, and Pastor Sunmbo Adeoye’s two sons, Nino and Zion, were also present to honour their grandmother. Photos showed them flanking the celebrant with smiles and warmth.
But not everyone in the superstar’s blended family made it. His daughters with estranged wife Annie Idibia, as well as the three children he shares with Pero Adeniyi, were conspicuously absent.
2Baba himself had earlier shared a touching video tribute to his mother online, showering her with sweet words and playfully calling her “lady” and “girl” as she blushed before the camera.
The event, filled with laughter, music, and memorable toasts, has since kept fans talking — another reminder that, for 2Baba, family moments remain as important as his timeless hits.
