The political climate in Adamawa State received a fresh boost on Independence Day as the Ajadi Rescue Movement (ARM) officially inaugurated its state chapter in Yola, pledging to play an active role in promoting credible leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration, held at the Nurses’ House in Jimeta, Yola, drew grassroots representatives, regional coordinators, and movement supporters, who described the launch as “a new beginning for democracy in the North-East.”

In his opening remarks, the Adamawa State Coordinator, Hon. Rilwan Idris Yahya, charged the 21 Local Government Area executives and state officers to uphold the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability in carrying out their duties.

“We are not just building another political structure; we are building trust with the people. Our mission is simple: service must reach the grassroots, and leaders must emerge through the will of the people,” Yahya said.

Also speaking, the Northern States Coordinator, Comrade Ibrahim Shuaibu, emphasised that the Ajadi Rescue Movement is not only a political organisation but also a humanitarian platform dedicated to empowering Nigerians regardless of region, ethnicity, or religion.

“Ajadi Rescue Movement is a movement of hope. Across many states, we have reached vulnerable communities with humanitarian services. Our message is clear: Nigerians deserve leaders who put service above self-interest,” he stated, adding that the Adamawa chapter should serve as a model for the rest of the country.

Goodwill messages from stakeholders further highlighted the optimism surrounding the launch. Representing the 21 LGA Coordinators, State Secretary Hon. A.A. Mubarak pledged loyalty to the movement’s founder, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, and promised to deliver on commitments made to the people.

For the women’s wing, Assistant Women’s Leader Ms. Comfort Ndondo described the movement as “a blessing for community development,” noting that empowering women and supporting communities would contribute to national progress.

A highlight of the event was a presentation by Comrade Dabo Nuhu Muhammad, Taraba State Coordinator, who profiled Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi as a visionary entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community developer with a long-standing commitment to service and leadership.

The inauguration concluded with contributions from Adamawa Central Coordinator, Mr. Leviticus James, and an interactive session where participants renewed their commitment to grassroots mobilisation.

With the successful launch of its Adamawa chapter, the Ajadi Rescue Movement has positioned itself as a growing political and social force in the state, with eyes firmly set on the 2027 elections.
