Nigerian music producer and digital content creator, Ogunremi David Tope, professionally known as ePianoh is massively gaining international attention with over 5 billion combined global views across digital platforms especially on YouTube; growing reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent new-age sound creators.

He was born and raised in Ilorin, Kwara State, ePianoh’s rise reflects a shift in how music success is being defined in this new age digital era where structure, consistency and online visibility now rival traditional industry access.

Growing up in Ilorin, ePianoh was surrounded by church music, street rhythms and everyday cultural sounds which shaped his early understanding of music. He took music seriously as a church pianist before developing the interest for music production during his teenage years. His transition was sparked by curiosity while posting himself playing the piano clips on Instagram; it was there he became more concerned about good audio quality which led him to experiment with FL Studio and that sparked the beginning of his journey as a producer.

Standing out in a crowded digital space filled with artistes, musicians and other creatives, ePianoh picked a stage name and branded it as “ePianoh,” a stylized identity that reflects both creativity and strategy. According to him, consistency and identity were key to building recognition in the digital music space. He made the ‘e’ a lowercase, the ‘P’ capital and ended the piano with h to form a unique stylized stage name.

Before gaining recognition, ePianoh earned a living through live piano performances at church events, concerts and small gigs in Ilorin. According to him, the income was rather unstable thereby leading him to explore more on freelancing which later opened doors to global clients and more structured opportunities.

His major breakthrough came in 2022 with an Amapiano remake of the viral “Omo Elewa” sound, which gained over 2.3 million views on YouTube. The success of the trend helped reposition him as a producer with a recognizable sound and growing digital presence. It was from that point, his career shifted from random exposure to major structured growth.

Another major milestone he has recorded so far was his contribution to a Grammy-recognized reggae project with Jamaican artiste Keznamdi, where he added the ePianoh effect on tracks like “Pressure” and “Bun di Ganja.” ePianoh has also worked with Nigerian artiste Young Jonn on the track “Pot of Gold” from the album Jiggy Forever, a collaboration that strengthened his visibility in the mainstream Nigerian music industry. He has also displayed on social media other industry connections with Opeyemi Famakin with his perfume recommendation and also with Don Jazzy the legendary producer and label boss at MAVIN RECORDS.

Beyond music production, he has built a strong digital content presence, reportedly generating over 5 billion YouTube views since he Joined Sep 13, 2014 up until 2026. He attributes this success to consistent posting, audience understanding and structured content strategy. Today, ePianoh describes himself as a “digital architect”; a creator focused not only on making music but also on building systems that drive global visibility and engagement.

From Ilorin to international recognition, ePianoh’s journey highlights how modern music success is increasingly driven by digital strategy, consistency and creative identity rather than location or industry access.

His story reflects a new wave of African creators shaping global sound from unconventional beginnings.
