Tania Omotayo cries out over ₦50,000 strawberries in Lagos supermarket

Nigerian entrepreneur and fashion designer, Tania Omotayo, has taken to social media to express her frustration over the outrageous cost of living in Nigeria after spotting a pack of strawberries being sold for ₦50,000 in a Lagos supermarket.

The fashion mogul, who shared her shock via her Snapchat page, questioned how ordinary fruits could cost that much amid the country’s biting economic crisis.

She wrote:

“Are we not finished like this in this country?”
