Tributes are pouring in across the wrestling world following the death of former WWE tag team champion, Sir Mo, who passed away at 58 after a battle with pneumonia and a blood infection.

Sir Mo, born Robert Horne, reportedly died Sunday night at a hospital in Texas, according to TMZ. The ex-WWE star, who wrestled between 1993 and 1996, had been battling serious health complications in recent months, including kidney issues that left him hospitalised for an extended period before his condition worsened.

During his time in WWE, Horne formed part of the celebrated tag team Men on a Mission, alongside Mabel (later known as Viscera). The duo enjoyed success in the mid-1990s, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship and becoming crowd favourites for their charisma and energy.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry led tributes on X, writing:

“Rest in Peace Sir Mo! We crossed paths many years ago but it was great to make your acquaintance again even though it was late in our lives.”

Former WWE star Leilani Kai also expressed heartbreak over the news, describing Horne as “always kind, always smiling, and always respectful.”

“He had a way of making everyone feel welcome,” Kai wrote. “He loved the business, loved the fans, and loved giving back. Wrestling wasn’t just about the ring for him it was about the people and the memories.”
