Seyi Tinubu reacts to donation claims by Sarah Martins

The son of President Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu, has reacted to the claims that he donated a sum of N20million to Nollywood actress Sarah Martins after she was harassed for cooking on the street.

Seyi, in a statement, revealed that he was not involved in such donation. He, however, added that his friends were behind the donation, stating that they were moved by compassion.

“Their intention, I believe, was to help her secure a proper space to run her business, not to undermine the law. I appreciate their kindness and concern,” he stated.

He also emphasised the need for citizens and residents to abide by the laws of the state.

“That said, I must emphasise that while their hearts were in the right place, I do not support any act that violates the laws of Lagos State. Lagos thrives on order, and Nigeria’s strength depends on our collective respect for both our law and order. Empathy and patriotism must always go together,” Seyi wrote
