He stated that citizens have been misled into focusing blame solely on the President while ignoring other elected officials responsible for governance.

Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally known as Odumodublvck, has described Nigeria’s political system as “shambolic.”

He stated that citizens have been misled into focusing blame solely on the President while ignoring other elected officials responsible for governance.

The music star made the remarks during an appearance on the BET Talks podcast, where he addressed the state of leadership and accountability in the country.

According to Odumodublvck, political power often corrupts individuals, regardless of their intentions. He argued that even well-meaning leaders can be influenced negatively by their inner circle.

“Politics in Nigeria is a shambolic scene like everywhere in the world. When you give man power, it never really goes as planned regardless of whether the person is good or bad,” he said.
“If the person is bad, bad people are going to make him worse. And if the person is good, you will have bad people trying to contaminate the good.”

He further criticized Nigerians for holding only the President accountable for national issues while overlooking the responsibilities of local government chairmen, councillors, senators, and other elected representatives.

“Nigerians have been so brainwashed that when there is a problem, the first thing they think about is the president. You have your local chairman, councillor, senator, who are directly representing you, but you are holding only the president accountable for all the challenges our society is facing. Other public officials should also be held accountable,” he said.
