The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, is set to visit Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for a major empowerment outreach and scholarship initiative targeted at students with disabilities.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele confirmed his attendance and explained that the visit aims to support underprivileged students in their educational pursuits.

According to him, the rising cost of education has made it increasingly difficult for many students—particularly those who are physically challenged—to continue their studies without assistance.

“Education is becoming unaffordable for the less privileged, especially for the disabled who can’t easily raise money for their academic pursuits. Many of them have no one to support them, and it’s becoming unbearable,” Ayodele said.

“The fact that someone is disabled or less privileged doesn’t mean they don’t deserve education. When people are passionate about learning, finances shouldn’t be a barrier to their dreams. Someone has to step in and support them, and that’s why we’re contributing our quota at YABATECH to assist disabled students.”

The cleric further expressed his deep concern for students who desire education but are hindered by financial challenges.

“I love to see people get educated, and it pains me when those who genuinely want to study are held back due to lack of funds. That’s why we’ve decided to do our best to reduce the number of students in that situation,” he added.

Beyond the scholarships, the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church will also inaugurate a Students’ Fellowship Programme at YABATECH. The fellowship, according to the statement, will be open to students of all faiths and denominations.

Unlike traditional fellowships, this initiative will not be exclusive to INRI members or centered on the church’s doctrines. Instead, it will welcome anyone who loves God and wishes to be part of a transformative and inclusive spiritual community.

Additionally, discussions are expected to be held on the proposed affiliation of a School of Communication and Public Relations with YABATECH — a development aimed at providing Mass Communication students with practical, hands-on experience to complement their studies.

It will be recalled that Primate Ayodele recently donated over ₦2 million to some YABATECH students who visited his church. During that visit, he promised to extend more support and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously.
