CAF sets dates, venues for Africa’s 2026 World Cup play-off tournament

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and host nation Morocco have announced the venues, dates, and kick-off times for the African Qualifiers of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Inter-Continental Play-off Tournament.
The mini-tournament will take place from 13 to 16 November 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, featuring Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).
The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, 13 November, at El Barid Stadium and Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex.
A draw on 30 October 2025 will determine which match will be played at each venue.
The opening match will see Nigeria face Gabon at 17:00 local time (16:00 GMT).
The second semi-final between Cameroon and DR Congo will follow at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT).
The final is set for Sunday, 16 November 2025, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium, kicking off at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

Match 1: Nigeria vs Gabon – 17:00
Match 2: Cameroon vs DR Congo – 20:00
The winner of the mini-tournament will qualify for the FIFA Inter-Continental Play-off in March 2026, where they will compete for Africa’s 10th and final spot at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
