Rapper Meek Mill (real name, Robert Williams) was handcuffed early Saturday morning outside a Midtown Manhattan nightclub as police searched his car for a gun, according to police sources.

Cops searched the car of the 38-year-old Philadelphia-born rapper around 4 a.m. after stopping three men in the vehicle, which matched the description and license plate in a tip they received about a man with a gun, according to TMZ.

“They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club embarrassed the shit out of me in nyc! I’m not scared to go outside without a gun … they had guns in my face for no reason smh I thought it was a prank,” the rapper said on X shortly after the incident.

Cops were tipped off to search Williams’ car for a firearm after he was patted down at the club, according to police sources.

A bouncer thought he felt a gun on Williams and told the rapper to get rid of whatever he had. Williams put something in his car before returning to the club, according to the sources.

Cops did not find a gun in Williams’ car.

In 2008, Williams was convicted of possessing a loaded gun in Philadelphia.
