American rapper, Offset, has been slammed with a lawsuit by a security guard who claims the hip-hop star physically assaulted him during a heated exchange at a Los Angeles cannabis store.
According to reports by TMZ, the guard identified as Jim Sanchez said the incident happened in March while he was on duty at MedMen LAX. Sanchez alleged that he asked Offset to present his ID before entering the store, but the rapper flared up, got confrontational, and allegedly punched him in the face.
He further claimed that members of Offset’s crew joined in, leaving him with serious neck pain and headaches that landed him in the hospital.
Now, Sanchez is dragging Offset to court for assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress.
However, Offset’s camp has dismissed the accusations as “complete lies,” insisting that it was the guard who charged at the rapper and even spat on him — which triggered the fight.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that the guard reportedly responded by spraying mace on Offset and his team.
