Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Brazil’s national football team, has named the four clubs he believes are favourites to win this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Speaking ahead of the matches coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday, Ancelotti mentioned Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich as the top contenders.
“From my view across the world, the Champions League favourites are the same as usual — Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich,” he told Tutto Sport.
He added that while this season’s group stage was expanded to make it more exciting, many of the games have produced one-sided results, which has reduced interest in the competition.
Ancelotti has won the Champions League in the past with both AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, PSG are the current champions, having beaten Inter Milan 5–0 in last season’s final.
