Davido announces interest in acting

Nigerian singer and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke OON, popularly known as Davido, has spoken up about his interest in the film industry.

While speaking at a panel session during the 2025 Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in Lagos, Davido revealed that he would like to act a spontaneous role in a movie.

He expressed his excitement for the possibility, adding that he would like to collaborate with African filmmakers.

“My brother was saying that he was going to give me a role. I told him I wanted to do a role that would be shot by a taxi driver or something out of the blue. I definitely want to get involved in movies,” he said.
