APC dismisses alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria

Representatives of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the United States, have dismissed the claims of alleged Christian genocide in the country.

The APC-USA, in a letter addressed to the US congress, emphasised the need for a diplomatic approach rather than military intervention.

The letter, signed by Prof Tai Balofin, the chairman of the chapter, also stated that Trump’s concern about the state of security in the country was influenced by misinformation and false narratives being spread by political rivals.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated impartial and decisive leadership in addressing insecurity. Following the June 2025 massacre in Benue State, where over 200 predominantly Christian lives were lost, he visited the affected community, directed the arrest of the perpetrators, and ensured their prosecution under terrorism and murder laws,” the letter said.
