The Obidient Movement Worldwide, a group of supporters of Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi has opened a situation room for monitoring the Anambra governorship election holding today, November 8, 2025

Dr Yunusa Tanko, the leader of Obidient Movement Worldwide announced this in a short statement posted on his social media platforms early Saturday morning.

He said “Our situation room for the Anambra 2025 Gubernatorial Election is live by 8am tomorrow 8th of November 2025,” he said while urging members of the Obidients movement to tune into the social media platforms to watch the situation room live.

He added that Obidient Movement structure will give updates on the election.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, 16 candidates will be on the ballot for the election holding today.

But just like their principal, Peter Obi, members of the Obidients Movement are backing the candidate of Labour Party in the election, George Moghalu.

Peter Obi and members of the Obidient Movement had joined the campaign of Moghalu across Anambra State ahead of the election.

Speaking earlier in the week in Anambra, Peter Obi urged INEC to ensure that the governorship election is credible while affirming his support for the candidate of Labour Party in the election, George Moghalu.

Obi who is also a former governor of Anambra State described all the gubernatorial candidates in the election as his friends.

But he affirmed that his loyalty remained with his party’s candidate, Dr George Moghalu.

“All those involved in the exercise, in one way or another, are my friends. I have respect for all of them.

“But as a member of the Labour Party, I’m supporting my party’s candidate, though not to the extent of vote buying or any other malpractice.

“Let everyone vote according to their conscience. All I want is a free, fair, and credible election,” he said.
