Kwate continues to solidify his position as one of the most exciting emerging voices in the African music landscape. His growing influence was recently affirmed when he was awarded Entertainer of the Year at the 2025 Global African Diaspora Awards (GADA) in Houston, Texas, an honor that celebrates artists who elevate African creativity and culture on the global stage.

This milestone follows a highly successful year for the rising star. In 2024, Kwate released his standout single “Shout Out to My Ex,” a track that resonated widely with audiences across the continent and beyond. The song made an impressive debut on the Apple Music Top 100 charts, securing No. 11 in Kenya, No. 32 in Nigeria, and No. 80 in Ghana. Its catchy hook and relatable message helped it gain significant traction across social media, especially on TikTok, where users embraced it for challenges, lip-syncs, and creative content.

Kwate’s momentum has also been fueled by his growing presence on major stages. He has opened for some of Africa’s most notable artists, most notably Davido, Odumodublvck, and Victony, earning praise for his growing energetic performances and emerging presence.

With each milestone, Kwate continues to expand his influence, positioning himself as an artist to watch both home and abroad.
