Tinubu renews pledge to end terrorism, unite Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has restated his administration’s determination to end terrorism and foster lasting peace across Nigeria, pledging that every citizen, regardless of faith, will benefit from a safer and more united nation.

His Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Sunday Dare, shared the President’s renewed stance in a message posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday. Dare commended Tinubu’s consistent focus on reconciliation and stability, describing him as a leader “resolute in healing old divisions and building bridges of trust.”

According to the presidential aide, Nigeria is “fortunate to have a leader with both the courage and the clarity to confront insecurity head-on.” He added that the President’s approach to governance places emphasis on cooperation across religious and ethnic lines.

Dare wrote: “President Tinubu embodies the Nigerian story — one of faith, perseverance, and shared destiny. He remains steadfast in his pursuit of harmony among Christians and Muslims, strengthening our bonds through mutual respect and collaboration.”

He further urged citizens to view Nigeria’s diversity as a powerful asset rather than a weakness, stressing that “our differences must never be tools for division but foundations for shared progress.”

The Presidency has repeatedly dismissed such claims as “misinformed and exaggerated,” insisting that the Nigerian government protects freedom of religion and condemns all acts of violence, irrespective of victims’ faiths.

Dare concluded that Nigeria’s resilience lies in its people’s ability to endure hardship together: “Our faiths may differ, but our hopes do not. Nigerians have suffered side by side, and together we will rebuild and rise stronger.”
