The mother of Imisi Ayanwale, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 10, has finally spoken up on the allegations that she abandoned Imisi before she became a millionaire.
In a now viral video, she expressed her gratitude to Nigerians for their support and encouragement. She also revealed that she has been staying with her younger sister, adding that ‘some people’ do not want her around.
“I’ve received mercy from God. Thank you so much to all Nigerians. I’m staying with my younger sister in Ajah. Even though some people didn’t want me around, others welcomed me, clothed me, and fed me. I’ve been happy and at peace,” she said.
She also revealed that she was not aware that Imisi had signed up to be a part of the reality TV show. She added that she has chosen to stay silent over the allegations of neglect, rather than feel guilty.
“I wasn’t told until around 4 p.m. to dress up because Imisi would be leaving the house that day. Let’s stop tearing each other down. Let love lead instead of hate,” she said.
