In a celebration that blended elegance with intimacy, Babatunde Olumide Sanwo-Olu, son of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, tied the knot with his heartthrob, Ajibola Oluwatoyosi, in a radiant white wedding on Saturday.
Oluwatoyosi, daughter of Prince Bamidele Obadina and Hon. Justice Morenike Obadina of the Federal High Court, looked every inch the bride as the couple exchanged vows at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Christ The Lord Central Parish, Lekki Phase I, Lagos Province 20 Headquarters.
The intimate ceremony united family and close friends in a celebration of love and commitment.
Following the service, the couple hosted a reception at the State House, Marina, keeping the affair strictly by invitation. Even the press were respectfully excluded, as the governor preferred a low-key, family-focused celebration.
The event was graced by prominent guests, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who chaired the occasion and offered words of counsel to the newlyweds. Several other governors were also in attendance, adding to the understated glamour of the day.
The highlight of the evening was the couple’s first dance, which delighted attendees and set the tone for a joyous celebration.
The wedding followed a traditional ceremony held the previous Wednesday at the Harbour Point Event Centre, Victoria Island, which, like the white wedding, was an exclusive, invitation-only affair.
Babatunde and Oluwatoyosi’s union combines two prominent Lagos families in a stylish and heartfelt celebration of love, marking a new chapter in their lives together.
