The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has ordered that immediate actions be taken to ensure the rescue of abducted students in Kebbi.
Matawalle, in a statement released on Monday, condemned the attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, GGCSS. The attack led to the death of the school’s principal and the abduction of students.
“The government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered immediate action to ensure the safe rescue of the students. I pray to Allah to grant him mercy and console his family and loved ones over this painful and unjust loss,” he said.
The Minister also urged security agents in the state to double down on their operations to ensure that the attackers are apprehended. He also pleaded with the residents to remain calm, urging them of their efforts to restore calm and safety.
