VeryDarkMan reveals what sparked mid-air fight with Mr Jollof

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has explained what led to his fight with media personality Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, also called Mr Jollof, on a commercial flight.

In a video posted after landing, VDM said the fight grew out of weeks of online back-and-forth with Mr Jollof. Seeing him in person on the plane, he told Mr Jollof, “Today, you will slap me,” referring to the tension from their online interactions.

“MR JOLLOF YOU B!T me,your fellow man haba JOLLOF WOULD HAVE KPAI ME IF I DIDNT DEFEND MYSELF,GOD SAVED ME,” he wrote on his IG.

The situation escalated when Mr Jollof punched VDM first, and VDM hit back. He said the scuffle got worse when Mr Jollof bit him, joking that his tattoo was nearly ruined by teeth that “had not been brushed.”

Passengers tried to separate the two during the fight. So far, neither Mr Jollof nor the airline has commented publicly on the incident.
