The message asks applicants to visit a third-party link, http://gvly.xyz/Nelfund-Student-Loan, which NELFUND says is unauthorised and fraudulent.
In a statement on its official X handle on Tuesday, the agency urged students not to click the link or share any personal information. NELFUND said the official student loan portal is only accessible through its verified website and social media channels.
“Applicants are encouraged to always verify official announcements via NELFUND’s official website and social media channels,” the statement read.
The warning is part of NELFUND’s ongoing effort to protect students and keep the student loan application process safe and secure.
