Why I stole gold in Yaba – DJ Kulet

Popular Nigerian disc jockey, Kudirat Gbemisola, widely known as DJ Kulet, has revealed that she engaged in stealing during her childhood.

The entertainer made the confession during a snippet of her recent interview with actress Biola Adebayo on the Talk to B podcast.

Reflecting on her early years, DJ Kulet disclosed that she would take gold jewellery from her mother’s friends and sell them at Yaba Market.

She said:

“I used to steal when I was much younger. I used to steal gold from my mother’s friends’ house and take it to Yaba to sell.”

According to her, the behaviour continued until her mother noticed and intervened.

“When my mummy noticed that behaviour in me, she took me for spiritual consultations before it would go beyond how it was at that time,” she added.
