Authorities and families have been provided with the names of 24 of the schoolgirls abducted from the Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, Kebbi State, on 16 November 2025.
The listing of the Kebbi schoolgirls comes amid ongoing security operations aimed at securing the safe return of all the girls. One student reportedly escaped during the attack, while reports indicate that two others have since returned home.

Security sources confirm that tactical units from the Nigeria Police and the military have been deployed to forested areas around the school in an ongoing search operation.
Authorities have intensified intelligence gathering and community patrols to locate the abductors and ensure the safe return of the students.
Tragically, the Vice Principal of the school, Hassan Makuku, was killed during the raid, highlighting the extreme risk faced by students and staff in parts of northern Nigeria where school kidnappings have become increasingly frequent.
The Federal Government has declared the abduction a national emergency, with President Bola Tinubu directing that all security and intelligence resources be mobilized to recover the girls.
