Kiddwaya reacts to backlash received over ‘Detty December’ comment

Nigerian reality TV star Terseer Kidd Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya has responded to the backlash he received for making a comment about ‘Detty December’ despite the ongoing insecurity in Benue.

The entrepreneur on his X handle had expressed his excitement for the upcoming festivities, stating that it might be the best one yet.

“This might be the best detty December ever,” he wrote.

This comment did not sit well with some users as they called him out for being silent towards the recent happenings in his home state, Benue.

He then responded, stating that he will neither be tendering an apology, nor taking down the post. Kiddwaya added that citizens should learn to hold their leaders accountable rather than public figures.

“Let me Make this absolutely clear. IM NOT APOLOGISING FOR NOTHING!!. You keyboard idiots will be worshipping politicians. Praising their bad behaviour. Hailing and begging when you see them, not bold enough to do shit when they make bad decisions that affects all of us yet the only power you have is to come online and cry like a bitch. Why don’t you grow some balls and start holding them accountable. The only thing most of you can do is insult people like me and make stupid jokes. The joke is on you. I’d run for governor and still win. Is this not Nigeria,” he wrote
