Olamide places Wizkid as senior in music industry

Nigerian rapper and record executive Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, has claimed that fellow musician Wizkid, is his senior in the music industry.

While speaking during a livestream, Olamide emphasised the need to clear the air around their time in the music industry. The YBNL boss revealed that Wizkid dropped his first track a few years before he did.

“Wizkid and I didn’t start doing music at the same time. He started a year or two before me; he was already putting out music before I came,” he said.

Olamide also stressed that his comment about Wizkid being the king of Afrobeats was not to talk down on the achievements of other artists.
