A chilling, disturbing video of terrorists attack on a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun during a Tuesday evening service in Eruku town, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State has emerged.

The over five minutes video from the CAC Church that captured the final moments before the terrorists struck and the rampaging action of the terrorists in the church has been circulating on the social media.

In the video, worshippers, mostly old women and children, were seen rushing away from the church auditorium to hide in a room suspected to be an office of the pastor as staccato of gunshots boomed from outside.

Some of the old women were seen struggling to join the other worshippers to go into hiding in the room.

The gunmen, who were obviously Fulani later came inside the church’s auditorium where they continued shooting sporadically while some of them looted the bags and other items left behind by worshippers who were in hiding.

The gunmen later opened fire on the door of the room where they worshippers were hiding. Reports indicated that the gunmen killed three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor after the festival of gunshots.

However, other reports indicated that the exact number of worshippers abducted by the gunmen are not yet known.

The attack was alleged to be part of the invasion of Eruku township in on Tuesday by the gun-wielding Fulani terrorists. The terrorists had forced motorists and commuters to flee into the bush.

The Kwara Police Command however said two people were killed and a vigilante member injured during the incident on Tuesday evening.

The Command added that a man identified as Aderemi was later found dead inside the CAC Church.

Spokesperson for Kwara Police Command Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said the divisional police officer in Eruku and his team, supported by local vigilantes, moved toward the outskirts of the town after hearing gunfire around 6 p.m.

She said the response forced the attackers to retreat into the bush.
