‘We need African solutions to African problems’, Yemi Alade

Nigerian singer and song-writer Yemi Eberechi Alade, known professionally as Yemi Alade, has urged Africans to resort solving their issues by themselves.

The singer on her X handle, emphasised the need for Nigerians to speak up, noting that political leaders should be held accountable.

”Everyone that is online, please do not get tired of speaking up. Our leaders needs to be held accountable,” she wrote

Yemi also dismissed a suggestion from a user who advised that people tag the US government in their tweets. She stated that the African continent do not need new problems.

”Please we need African solutions to African problems. Not a new problem,” she responded.
