Ebonyi man hangs self after telling relatives he was hearing strange voices

A 24-year-old man identified as Joshua Kosoro has hanged himself after telling his relatives that he was hearing strange voices at Umuogodo Akpu in Ohaukwu Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi state.

Kosoro had returned from his base in Lagos to his Umuogodo Akpu community and told his relatives that he was hearing strange voices, Ebonyi Police Command spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu said .

The Police spokesperson said the incident occurred on Sunday, Nov. 16.

According to him, Kosoro hanged himself after his relatives went out to look for solution to his complaint and left him at home.

“He said that the voices talk to him and always ask him to do strange things.

“The relatives went out to look for solution to the issue; as everyone was away from the house he stayed back; before they could comeback, they saw that he has hanged himself to death.

“The officers of the command visited the scene and the body was taken to the hospital, where he was certified dead.

Ukandu said that the report was brought to the command’s table by his relatives adding that investigation into the incident had commenced.
